GO453 Salary Paid Holiday to Employees/Workers on Polling Day(General Elections to HOP & APLA 2014)

Andhra Pradesh Factories and Establishments (National Holidays and Other Holidays) Act, 1974 (AP Act No.32/1974) and A.P. Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 read with the provisions laid down in section 135-B of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951 – General Elections to House of People (Lok Sabha) and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, 2014 Polling on 30.04.2014 (Wednesday) and 07.05.2014 (Wednesday) – Declared Paid Holiday – Orders – Issued.

 ORDER:

The following Notification shall be published in the extra–ordinary issue of Gazette Notification of Andhra Pradesh.
NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of section 3 of Andhra Pradesh Factories and Establishments (National Holidays and Other Holidays) Act, 1974 and Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 read with the provisions laid down in section 135-B of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declare the days of poll i.e. on 30.04.2014 (Wednesday) in Parliamentary constituencies in phase-I (shown below) and on 07.05.2014 (Wednesday) in Parliamentary constituencies in phase-II (shown below) for General Elections to Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly as paid holidays to all the employees/workers employed in Factories and Shops and Establishments, if there is no holiday;
