ORDER:       

            In the G.O. 1^st read above, orders were issued to the effect that the Government have provisionally identified the ‘Osmania University’ Hyderabad as State Agency for conducting of State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) in the interest of larger number of Lecturers / Assistant Professors, who are being recruited by the direct recruitment or by promotions in the Degree Colleges and Universities in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh.

2.         In the G.O. 2^nd  read above, a Steering and Moderation Committee to monitor the conduct of APSET was constituted for the purpose. The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has  accorded accreditation to Osmania University, Hyderabad  for three years from May, 2013 to May, 2015 to conduct State Level Eligibility Test in 27 subjects, vide letter  No.F-17-10/2012 (NET/SET) dated May 2013.

3.         In the reference 3^rd read above, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad has requested to adapt   the orders issued in the reference 1^st read above from the appointed day i.e. 02-06-2014 to the Govt. of Telangana State.

4.        The Government after examination of the report of the Secretary, A.P State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, hereby permit the  Osmania University, Hyderabad to conduct the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for the candidates in the Telangana State, which will make them eligible for applying for recruitment to Assistant Professors / Lecturers by the direct recruitment or by promotions, in the Universities / Govt. Degree Colleges, Aided Degree Colleges  in the Telangana State, as per the University Grants Commission Regulations, 2009, since the University Grants Commission had already accorded accreditation to Osmania University, Hyderabad, for three years i.e. from May, 2013 to May, 2015.

5.         The Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University, Hyderabad shall take further action accordingly.
