Sub:- NPS — Amendment to PMLA Act — Making Aadhaar and PAN and Mandatory for all NPS accounts — Collection of information — Requested — Regarding.

In the Notification cited, an amendment made under prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Second Amendment Rules, 2017, wherein both Aadhar and PAN have been made mandatory for existing as well as to new accounts to be opened under NPS.
The existing subscribers and new subscribers are required to submit their Aadhar and PAN information by 31-12-2017 to the CRA in the prescribed format enclosed to this Memo.
Hence, all the PAOs/APAOs are requested to circulate among all DDOs under their payment control to insist on IT PAN and Aadhar of all subscribers in the proforma enclosed and furnish the same to the PAOs/APAOs concerned by l5’ November 2017 for taking further necessary action.
