O R D E R:
In the G.O. 1st read above, orders have been issued for creation of (134) supernumerary posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) by suppressing (134) posts of Inspector of Police (Civil) / RIs (AR/APSP.CPL), until the retirement of the incumbents or the need for such post ceases or a post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) falls vacant, whichever is earlier.
2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Home department have requested to continue the (72) supernumerary posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil), utilized out of the total 134 supernumerary posts, in relaxation of the conditions stipulated in the G.O. 1st read above for effecting adhoc promotions, till finalization of seniority issues.
3. Government, after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord sanction for continuation of the (72) Supernumerary posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) utilized out of the above 134 posts, by suppressing an equal number of Inspector of Police (Civil)/RIs (AR/APSP.CPL) for a period of one year, or the need ceases, whichever is earlier, in relaxation of the conditions stipulated in the G.O. 1st read above.
