The attention of all the DEOs in the state is invited to the subject cited that the Department of Mathematics and Science, SCERT has arranged a live telecast on NGC Activities — “Eco Friendly Diwali” on 12-10-2017 from 12.15 P.M to 1.00 P.M through TSAT network under Vidya channel highlighting the Harmful effects of firecrackers and air pollution as well as noise pollution to the environment. The Director & Programme Officer of NGC and faculty of SCERT will address the teachers and students.
Therefore all the DEOs in the state are requested to note the programme and the channel of TSAT and are requested to intimate the same to all the schools under your jurisdiction. It is also informed that the programme may be viewed through cable TV network of Hathway.
Further all the DEOs in the state are also requested to organize programmes and activities regarding Eco Friendly Diwali and activities given in annexure to sensitize the teaching community, student community and parents on this issue.
The Principals of DIETs, CTEs and IASE and other Teacher Education colleges are also requested to make necessary arrangements to witness the said programme by the Teacher Trainees, and convey the campaign on the said issue.
