In view of the instructions issued in the references read above all the District Educational Officers in the state are informed that the Government of India in the reference first cited has informed that the NCERT is conducting 2 Cycle of NAS Class X during the month of Febwary, 2018 in getting an in depth insight into the Learning Levels of students across varied geographies in the States / UTs and design policies, and action plans accordingly for improving the quality of education.
In this regard, the NCERT New Delhi has sent the sampled schools list of Telangana state for verification by following certain instructions.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the state are informed to verify the sampled schools list attached herewith and do corrections where ever required as per the instructions given below:
1. Read all the information of Sampled Schools in your District in the enclosed list.
2. Get the factual information as per the list attached from the concerned Head Masters of Sampled Schools of your district.
3. Make corrections if needed against the space provided in the list.
• Please verify if UDISE code and School Name is correct, otherwise make necessary correction.
• Please verify Area — Rural I Urban and update as per the correct status.
• Please verify School Management — Government I Government Aided I Private and update as per the correct status.
• Please verify Medium — Telugu I English I Hindi etc. and update as per the correct status.
• Please verify School Type — Boys I Girls I Co-Edu and update as per the correct status.
• Please verify MOS — Enrollment (Enrollment shall be checked with the School Attendance Register) and update as per the correct status.
• Please fill the column Participation — Yes I No. If No, fill the Participation comment.
• Minimum enrollment is 15 for selecting a school. NCERT has selected the schools which have above 15 enrollment only.
• Invariably only sample school ‘s’ should be selected. In case the school ‘s’ is closed! defunct or the enrollment fallen below 15, then the school ‘ri’ shall be considered, if ri has 15 and above enrollment. If the school ‘ri’ is closed! defunct or the enrollment fallen below 15, then the school ‘r2’ shall be considered.
4. The information provided by you will be treated as final for data analysis purpose.
After verification, certify the verified sampled schools list and submit hard copy and soft copy by e-mail to nas.telanqanagmail.com along with covering letter having relevant information/ changes made in the sampled schools list by date:01-12-2017.
Receipt of these proceedings should be acknowledged.
