NOTIFICATION
(Conducted on behalf of TSCHE)
Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test through Computer Based Test (TS Ed.CET-2018(CBT)) for the year 2018 will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad in accordance with G.O. Ms. No. 13 SE(Trg)) Dept. dt. 27-05- 2017 for admission into B.Ed. (Two Years) regular course in the Colleges of Education in Telangana State for the academic year 2018-2019.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPEAR FOR Ed.CET 2018
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for TS Ed.CET-2018 (CBT) for admission to 2-year B.Ed Course.
i. The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
The candidate should satisfy ‘local’ / ‘non- local’ Status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, as subsequently amended.
ii. Educational Qualifications : Candidates should have passed or appeared for qualifying examination
(a) In any Bachelors Degree i.e., B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM/BBA or in the Masters Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
(b) Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with Specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% aggregate marks or
(c) Any other qualification equivalent thereto.
(d) However, for candidates belonging to the reserved categories Viz., SC/ ST/ BC and other reserved categories should have secured 40% Marks in the qualifying examination.
(e) Candidates possessing MBBS/ BSC (AG) / BVSC/ BHMT/ B.Pharm and such other professional and job oriented degree courses Viz., LLB are not eligible for admission into B.Ed Course.
(f) Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken undergraduate study are not eligible for admission.
(g) The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for TS Ed.CET-2018.
iii. Age limit:
1. The candidate should have completed the age of 19 years as on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.
2. Choosing of Part-C subjects (i.e. .methodology) for entrance test is at candidate’s risk. Subject eligibility will be subject to verification later at the time of admission counseling.
3. Candidates need not upload Xerox copies of any certificates along with the application. However, they are required to submit original certificates / xerox copies whenever asked.
4. The information furnished in the application will be verified with originals at the time of entry into the course. Furnishing false information leads to prosecution and cancellation of admission at any point of time.
5. The mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not entitle the candidate the right to claim an entry into B.Ed. Course.
6. Candidate must submit the application online only.
7. Note: As per the GO MS No:13 dated. 27/5/2017, the candidates possessing M.B.B.S/B.SC(AG))/ BVSC/BHMT/B.Pharm and such other professional and job oriented degree courses viz., LL.B are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.
8. Candidates will not be allowed into the Examination Hall after Commencement of exam on the day of the Examination.
9. After filling all the boxes in the online application, the candidate must click on the submit button. Otherwise Registration number will not be generated and hence application will not be considered.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE CHOICE OF SUBJECT UNDER PART-C
Mathematics
Candidate with B.A./B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects, B.E/B.Tech with Mathematics and B.C.A candidates with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject.
Physical Sciences
Candidates with B.Sc., who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Subjects under Part-II group subjects, B.E/B.Tech with Physics and Chemistry Subjects and B.C.A. candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subject.
Biological Sciences
Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Subjects under Part-II group subjects and B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject
Social Studies
All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M/B.B.A/B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level as group subject.
English
Candidates with B.A Special English/ B.A. English literature or M.A. English.
SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATIONS
Applications should be submitted through ONLINE mode only. The Registration fee for online
submission and late fee, if applicable, may be paid at APOnline /TSOnline Centers and also through
payment gateway (Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking).
